Anxious For Nothing

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.
Proverbs 12:25 HCSB

I can attest to this. I have a good friend who constantly speaks good into my life. This person is a treasure to me. Yet my greatest treasure, Jesus, had a lot to say about anxiety. He said:

So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat? ’ or ‘What will we drink? ’ or ‘What will we wear? ’ For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:31‭-‬34 HCSB

Anxiety and worry are common to all men and women but the Christian has One to go to who is higher than all that would cause anxiety. He sees where the road leads and we become anxious about a change in the road. The change is for our good.

So, what can we do for ourselves? Speak good over our lives, seek a word from the Lord about our circumstances, seek Him. The best thing we can do is start to recount all Gods faithfulness and speak into being a good outcome. In other words bring out our faith and use it as it is designed, a shield. Amen!
