What is Shame Really?

Do you know good advice when you hear it? Good advice is Godly advice, not good human understanding.

As a Christian we are called to walk in faith, 'fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the shame of the cross'. Hebrews 12:2

There are times of intense shame for us, should we allow ourselves to feel it. Shame is tied up with human expectation of ourselves and others. Yet, as far as the Father is concerned, it is not shameful. Shameful behaviour is when we act unbecoming as a child of God.

If we allow our God to lead us and direct us then we will not behave shamefully but rather honoring Him. Amen!
