Don't Judge Unless.....

“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”
Luke 6:37 MSG

This scripture flies in the face of our modern generation of judges. Everyone on social media are drawn into instant judgement on matters seen on the media. Yet rarely do we have all the facts. We, instead have the opinion of the one posting their opinion. They will present facts clothes to support their opinion or agenda. We are fools if we are captured by that opinion and drawn into judgement.

Yet scripture tells us: judge and you will be judged by the same standard. Yes you will! You can refuse this truth ground in your life but it is still true and will still impact on your life.

The above verses tell us not to condemn those who are down. Condemning requires a hardened heart. How can that be good? Jesus told His disciples: instead pray for your enemy. Pray the Lord's mercy and grace upon them. Amen!
