All Aurhority

For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him.

All rulers amd authority were created by Him and for Him. All authority on earth and in the heavens was created by Him and for Him. All authority? There is so much wrong authority. Is the authority wrong or has it been usurped?

Authority is given, not taken. Real authority is not something that you can take, that you can purchase, that you can steal. It's something that other people give you freely of their own accord. ... I googled authority given not taken and this is what I found. The whole article was insightful. Grahame maintains that unless a law or policy has authority it will not take. This is interesting.

Jesus gave His disciples, this includes us believers, authority. What does He give us authority to do? Let's look:

He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like a lightning flash. Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you. However, don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:18‭-‬20 HCSB

We can see here we are given authority over all the powers of darkness. In Matrhew 28 and Mark 16 Jesus says He has all authority and commands us to go and make disciples.

The difference here is we are to serve the one who has all authority and power. Evil men and women want aurhority and if they can't get it they use power to force authority but as Grahame says: power can't create aurhority. Bad power forces corrupt authority.

The authority Jesus gives is good. The command Jesus gives is good. He is Lord and we are His servants. Unless He gives us the keys of authority we waste our time.

In ourselves we have no power and no authority. All authority was created by God. Amen!
