Believe and Receive
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
James 1:5-8 MSG
Again the Message says it best. When we read these scriptures in say NIV they come across harsh. Whereas this version is very matter of fact and not offensive.
Our Father loves us and desires to give us the help that we need. When we lack wisdom, we can ask Him and He will give it. We must ask as a loved child expecting parental help.
Wisdom is best sought. Many movies are made about those who go on a pilgrimage in search of wisdom. Yet God's type of wisdom does not require us to climb high mountains in foreign lands but rather right where we are admitting we have no wisdom and asking our God for help. He will give it. You will not need to crawl on your knees but rather believe it is yours for the asking.
James said: whatever you ask for believe you receive it and you will have it. Amen!
