Abandoned?

Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” John 16:31‭-‬33 MSG

The take out for me from this verse that so resonates with my soul is: "but I am not abandoned. The Father is with Me!"

When lonely and rejected we decry our abandonment and are prone to criticism those who do not see. In the above passage Jesus stated the fact: you will abandon me BUT...God!

People will not see and they will not respond as perhaps they could but our Father, our Saviour and our Comforter are there. They are faithful, reliable and always have time for us. That my friend is good news!

Prayer: Father thank You that You do not abandon me, thank You Jesus you are here for me, thank You Holy Spirit you are the best comforter. Amen!
