Choosing Paths

But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:6‭-‬7 HCSB

To stand as a Christian and not adopt the worlds ways can put us at odds with the world.

We have seen many examples of Christians making a stand to not cook cakes for gay rights couples; not wanting to photograph weddings of same couples and more recently a young footballer in Australia dared to put up a scripture post on social media that condemned gays, drunks, etc from Romans and He lost his job. He made a point that Jesus was more important to him.

Walking away from large amounts of money, in the case of the footballer, is walking away from worldly ways. This decision will come with the test. The lack of worldly wealth is very different to having it. Israel, the player said: "I have never been without money since I began playing football in my youth." He was acknowledging that his next phase of life would be very different. God's grace will sustain him.

Learning to walking in God's grace does not come without its challenges but if we are serious, we find His grace.

Find grace is the fun part. It is a treasure to be sought. It is a worthy and most valuable treasure. Uet it is on a different path. Amen!
