Suffering

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 HCSB

Childbirth gives a woman a glimpse of this truth. The pain in conception, for some, carrying for others and finally birth, for most, are traumatic but the resultant child is worth it all.

During our trials we are pregnant with God's promise. When His promise is fulfilled in us we are overcome with joy. How wonderful!

God's plan is reveal His glory in us. If we are not a fit vessel yet, we become that vessel in trial or not at all. Resentment and bitterness are signs of failure to transform.

I have watched a bitter man die. It was ugly! Don't go there!
