“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”Matthew 7:7-8 NLT
What does this passage speak of? Endurance, tenacity, determination, and focus. What attempts to derail us? Feelings and emotions. Satan sends images of failure and pictures of those we are in relationship with failing us or turning from us. If we keep our focus on Jesus all the truth will instead keep our eyes.
Who do we give our attention to? Whose voice do we listen to? Who do we give authority to? Jesus can be the only focus. Whilst we must obey our leaders, we must see them through a Christ filter. Scripture tells us to obey our parents and leaders as unto the Lord. They will give an account to the Lord for us.
In the passage above Jesus instructs us to keep knocking and praying and the door will be opened to us. If He said it, it will happen. Amen!
