“But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”Isaiah 53:5 NLT
Our wholeness cost Jesus, He was brutally beaten for us. Can we then say, “I am broken”? No! We must step into the wholeness He bought for us. No complaining about who hurt us, poor little us! Satan’s device is to keep us focused on what was and make us believe it still is. Jesus said:
“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”John 8:44 NLT
Jesus, here, was speaking to the Pharisees and Scribes. They continually argued for their point of view which was legalistic and devoid of power.
Step in! Amen!
