I Urge You...

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:1‭-‬2 HCSB Paul says: First of all..... where does judgement and complaints begin? They do not appear to be mentioned. Yet i see them first on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In. Not only does Paul give one urging he gives 4 and they are not casual. A petition is not in any way casual. I suggest it is a heart-felt committment. We can dismiss prayers as casual, even though they are in an ardent grouping. Next he gives intercession. I do intercession. This one carries committment, God's heart and it in fact a heavy burden. Lastly we are urged to give thanksgiving. Paul lived in the time of some nastly Roman rulers. Paul was not treated kindly by many town or synagogue leanders. He was beaten and left for dead. Have you been treated like this? Are...

Great Things

“The Lord who made the earth, the Lord who forms it to establish it, Yahweh is His name, says this: Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:2,3 Here we have God saying He formed the earth. No matter what clever men say, they are wrong and they cannot dismiss the great I AM. I awake in the middle of the night praying for souls and the Lord is encouraging me to ask for mighty things. Yesterday we struggled to find an address, on foot, in filthy, Kathmandu. We had to find a man to pay for earth bags this man could not understand mt friend's English. Our phones wwre low in battery and we needed help. I prayed for an Englisg speaking young Nepali and got one. He came up to me, our of the blue, dressed in blue. I knew it was God and sensed an angelic visitation. He gave us explicit directions and left. We found our man, paid the bill and left. We struggled to find transport back to where we were staying. Again...

Lift up Your voices

Shout triumphantly to the Lord , all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Acknowledge that Yahweh is God. He made us, and we are His — His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations. Psalms 100:1‭-‬5 HCSB This Psalm has many commands: Shout triumphantly - we have all experienced winning and know what this looks like. We are on God's team. Whilst away on a trek recently i was involved in a basketball game and happened to be on the winning team. Each time a badket was shot I went into an excited little display of victory. My God deserves this shout. I am staying with a Christian organization at present and they are ministering to village people from Nepal- people are coming to know Christ- that deserves a victory shout! Amen! Serve the Lord with gladn...

God's Peace

Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19‭-‬20 HCSB Having a battle with lust, anger, murderous thoughts, hate and envy are very heavy whwn we are made to be a temple of peace and rest in the Holy Ghost. I am currently staying in a Christian compound owned by the Samaritan's Purse. I am occupying a room called peace but the last two nights have been filled with all manner of bad dreams and compulsions. I stayed in this room before and had a peaceful time. At present the organisation has visitors from villages in the mountains. Some are unsaved or newly saved. I believe I have experienced that which is troubling one of the villagers. My dreams were filled with murder and disposing of bodies horribly. Carrying guilt for the past or being troubled by demons is not an attractive prospect. We are called, as Chri...

Loving God's Way

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬5 HCSB God's love is not emotional, yet it can be felt. It is solid, eternal, true and uncompromising. Yesterday I said goodbye to the young men we took treking with us. I had grown to love them and appreciate them. I want the best for them and most of all I want Christ for them. Human love tends to spoil, act selfishly and depends on feelings. I remember, as a mother, i was emotionally attached to my children and was inclined to spoil them with gifts. I think i perhaps over did it at times. As my children grew up i had to learn to separate my emotions from them and allow them to leave and cleave to their spouse. As they brought children into the world I became emotionally attached to them but again realised they were not mine and emotional attachment was not good for them o...

Be Steadfast

September 25 Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 HCSB Being steadfast means you are consistent, walking in the Spirit not allowing the flesh room. Whilst this is indeed a challenge it is not impossible if you stay close to the Lord and keep Him as your focus. As we allow things and people of this world room to aggravate us and give our flesh permission to react we become unsteady and wobble. Immoveability, (new world folks) means you are unable to be toppled by the enemy of your souls. No matter what he brings against you, you cling to Christ tighter. Yes you feel what comes against you but you resolve to seek Christ and His ways. Then, you will excell in the Lord's work. Christ set His face like a flint towards Calvary. His purpose was to redeem us back. Yes He spent three years displaying the Father's true heart, so we would know what and why ...

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

September 24 For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well. Psalms 139:13‭-‬14 HCSB I have seen many cripples since being in Nepal. Two I prayed for, the rest I didn't. How does a cripple praise the Lord for how they are made? Could they say - "I am fearfully and wonderfully made? Many are beggars but one I remember who, surprisingly was not. He had a stump on one leg yet he was very agile and busily shopping for himself in the marketplace, no failure here. A resourceful, active member of his community. What made the difference? Being able to rejoice in all circumstances requires faith, lack of self-pity, humility, and hope for the future. I have prayed for years for the healing of my hearing and not received an answer. I will still seek healing but in the meantime, I will rejoice for I am still fearfully an...

Listen to Counsel

September 22 Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life. Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the Lord ’s decree will prevail. Proverbs 19:20‭-‬21 HCSB The ability to listen has to start somewhere. It takes a decision to humble oneself and receive instruction. Why do we not listen? Because of fear, pride or rebellious indifference. We can go on our own instincts, trusting ourselves rather than God. What happens when we fail to listen? We act foolishly, we act arrogantly, we charge in where the wise dare not go. We make assumptions that all will work out at the end, when it may not. We create a mess for ourselves and others to unravel. Foolishness is inconsiderate, unwilling to count the cost

Put on love

23 September Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.  Above all, put on love — the perfect bond of unity. Colossians 3:12-14 HCSB I think the keywords here are: 'put on.' Just as I arose this morning and chose what to wear on my outer body I must choose what to wear on my soul and spirit. As I choose to wear love, I know it will cover a multitude of sin that may come against me. If I walk in God's love I will have heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, extending forgiveness to those who need it. Yesterday we discovered out guide was expecting tips for himself and his workers. I had planned on giving a tip but not to the level expected. I investigated from another guide what is the norm and what their wage wa...

He Rejoices Over Me

Yahweh your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17 HCSB This scripture blesses me. I am still unwell, probably a cold. However, I have crushing chest pain. As I have a history of being a nurse I am clinically assessing myself. Usually, this type of chest pain is heart-related. However, my pulse is regular and at rest. I have had dyspepsia due to the chilies and onions in the food so I am inclined to believe this is the problem. Yesterday I slept almost all day and again last night. We talked to our guide and he agreed for us to change our plans. We decided on staying another day so I can recuperate. However, last night he was making noises about leaving today if I am still unwell. Part of me wants to stay and regain energy and part wants to go in case this pain is not just dyspepsia. The above scripture promises peace. I want the Lord...

My Refuge and Fortress

September 20 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. PSALM  91:2 It is good that we have our God to run to. He alone can be trusted. Today I awake knowing we have a rest day in a beautiful environment. As I write this I look out on a spectacular valley. The guest house is perched high on a hill looking back on all the steps we made yesterday. I am sure there were sixty million (my current joke). The guide wanted to push us 7 hours again today and we called a halt. There is plenty for all the boys travelling with us to do here, whilst Warren and I do washing and recover. Today I want to review our itinerary as I think we are trying to do too much. We conquered the trek to Annapurna Base Camp and now our guide wants to push us to another. Several of us are unwell with head and chest colds and need to recuperate. We could have broken the trip down into more manageable trips so we could have enjoyed the scenery more and still have achieved ...

Stay Confident

September 19  So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.  For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised. Hebrews 10:35‭-‬36 HCSB This morning i awake with a threatrning head cold. Yesterday we left Annapurna Base Camp and travelled hard most of the day to arrive at new accomodation at 6 pm. We had gotten up at 4.40am to view the mountains and by the time I arrived at new venue my eye were struggling to stay open, my legs, surprisingly had fuel to go but my feet were sore from the pummelling they received of the uneven rock surfaces for most of the trek. A warm shower and a hearty meal of Dal Blat and off to bed. This time I slept well with only a few waking spurts. I had left my phone on charge overnight in the kitchen and that was locked for the night. I had no idea of the time, only that it was not light yet. Finally getting back to sleep and dreaming a mixed bag of dreams, all nonsense, i awoke to dayli...

Our High Priest

September 18  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 HCSB No other god, nor great leader can claim the above. I am so grateful i know Him. This morning we arose early in Annapurna Base Camp to view the glorious mountains. All around the viewing area were budist prayer flags. Our guide was even hanging fresh prayer flags. Buddha was a man, desperately trying to achieve purity throughout his life and failed. He was dedicated to a higher life but did not attain it. My Jesus, the perfect Son of God, came to earth as a man and walked as a man, was tested as a man and did not fail. I, therefore, can go to Him, trusting Him in all.He said and did. He did it for me. I am grateful, so grateful. Yesterday our treking guide showed me a weather report. There was forecast bad weather and i prayed and asked my God that i might see His glory and He whispered into my...

He Joins Us

16 September In the same way, the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. Romans 8:26 HCSB Holy Spirit I praise You and thank You for being with me, for looking out for me, sustaining me, encouraging me. Thank You. Right now, as I lay on my bed in my tiny room in the Himalayan Alps I feel my sore muscles and pray for strength. Today we make the Annapurna Base Camp. I would have to say this is the most gruelling adventure I have been on. Yet, what an adventure. My trekking guide has been my constant companion and he is a Buddhist. He has asked me to teach his daughter art. I am honoured. The boys in the group rely on me for practical advice and help. I enjoy their company. My biggest challenge is my travelling companion from Australia. It is he who gets up my nose and challenges grace in my life. If anything I need the Holy Spirit's grace, in abundanc...

Hardship

15 September For Christ also suffered for sins once for all,  the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring you to God, after being put to death in the fleshly realm but made alive in the spiritual realm. 1 Peter 3:18 I am being severely challenged at present. I am on a trek in the Himalayan Alps and with a group of silly young men who have more energy than sense. My travelling companion is here for them and I am struggling physically and emotionally. After a gruelling day yesterday we made it to camp and were made aware that hot springs were nearby. Badly needing baths and relaxation we all agreed to go only to find we had another hour of travel down slippery steps in the dark. I was left to fend for myself until our guide came to my rescue. In hindsight, I would not have gone had I have known the state of the passage there and back. I was sorely cross and to make matters worse there were leeches everywhere. You might say my attitude was challenged. I am awake at  2am...

Ashamed

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 HCSB What makes us ashamed? Well, we have an author of shame-Satan. When we step out in God and don't see the results we.expect, we experience shame. Add a lot of these types of experiences together over a lifetime and we have shame towards our faith. How then can I be unashamed? By daily laying down my failures and trusting God to use them and teach me His ways. Shame is poured out in the media. Those that stand for Christ suffer vilification at every opportunity. One person may say or do something shameful and all of us suffer. Alternatively, we may have been assumed to do something and be blamed anyway. If I suffer shame for wrong-doing then a good dose of heartfelt repentance can rectify the situation. In all causes staying close to Christ, keeping an open heart and having short accounts keep me alive in my faith....

Streams of Living Water

You will joyfully draw water from the springs of salvation, Isaiah 12:3 HCSB Drawing from crisp clean water is a delight. Whilst working in the village in Sindhupalchok we crossed such streams.flowing down from the mountains. They were chilled, clear and refreshing. Yet if a village is above where you draw water it is polluted and not fit to drink. Jesus Himself told us we cannot have clean and brakish water in the one vessel as one will pollute the other. The well of salvation is pure, reliable and safe to all it comes in contact with. The well.we draw from we drinknfrom, bathe from and give to others to drink. What kind of testimony are we sharing? What are people seeing? Is life or death in our cup?

He is My Salvation

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for Yah, the Lord , is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2 HCSB In a land of many gods who fail, my God never fails and i can trust Him. I can ramon confident and not fear because He is with me, goes before me amd prepares the way. Today we drive to Pokrah in readiness for our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Already on this trip there have been accidents but God has been soverign. Those involved should still be in hospital but aren't. Praise Him! When you travel with 8 19-22 year old young men you see abundant energy amd maximum risk taking. Therefore, as leaders we must stand in the gap for them, cover them and pray for them. Amen! In the midst if all this are opportunities to share Christ. It is He who conquered the grave, who overcame all obstacles in His path and rose again to open a way for us. It is Christ alone who has authority and in whom i trust. Amen.

Wisdom is Worthy to be Heeded

Get wisdom, get understanding; don’t forget or turn away from the words of my mouth. Don’t abandon wisdom, and she will watch over you; love her, and she will guard you. Wisdom is supreme — so get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will exalt you; if you embrace her, she will honor you. She will place a garland of grace on your head; she will give you a crown of beauty.” Proverbs 4:5-9 For the longest time i have valued wisdom and seek it above sentimentality, emotionalism, pseudo-faith and foolishness. I have had some good teachers, many were good preachers but the most important was reading proverbs again and again and praying for insight and undetstanding. Today i have avoided being drawn into the intrigues of others by refusing to budge and having a day off. I have painted and slept. Rest, glorious rest. A very good minister, Pastor Phil Pringle always said: if faith and wisdom are in conflict, choose wisdom every time. Why? True fai...

The Source of Life

Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life. Proverbs 4:23 HCSB I am awake early as a local rooster is crowing. It gives me the opportunity to spend time in reflection and seek God. Today I am praying about the way forward. My travelling companion has adopted 7 Nepali boys and is paying for them to come treking with us. We gave all the money we had to the village we had just done some work in in Sindhupalchok. My colleague admitted he was not as confident now that we had given the final large amount of money for goats, chickens and and a gas stove for the locals. Yet here he was committed to kit out all seven boys for the trek to Annapurna Base Camp. I know how much my friend has given to the work in Sindhupalchok so far but here he is giving more. I am aware that I will probably be called upon to help with taxi fares, food and more. Yet i am on a tight budget. I am unwilling to use credit as i have a large business mortgage to face when i return to Australia....

Do You Have a Conviction?

11 September 2016  Do you have a conviction? Keep it to yourself before God. The man who does not condemn himself by what he approves is blessed. Romans 14:22 HCSB We condemn ourselves when we are arrogant about our convictions. Our convictions might work well for us but if we begin to puff up in pride we then begin to impose our convictions on others. We arw then into law and we woukd all agree law in not.pleasant. We have had an interesting time in Sindhupalchok, and many many times we had a conflict of process, protocol and position. I was constantly having to say to my collegue, " we work with the culture, we honour their ways." However, to get things done we needed to push through reticence. Always honouring can be a challenge. Fortunately, between ourselves we did not fight but worked things out. What an excellent experience this has been for me. Because my collegue was insistent we came away making stwp5s down to a toilet that was 4ft below the houses and no...

Hope Fills With Joy

10 September Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 HCSB Today is a good day to hope. Being filled with joy is a choice. I choose to allow the God of hope to fill me with all joy so that i may overflow with hope. What a delightful prospect! Yesterday, on the way home from the family we went to visit in the remote area in the hils of a village in Sindhupalchok, the boys stopped to swim in the reservoir. Whilst there a huge rock fell on one of the boys and badly cut his head. We brought him back to base and cleaned up his wound and sent him to the medic for stitches. After the event he was subdued and quiet. We encouraged him, prayed for him and trust the Lord will raise him up. Knowing these people carry a lot of fears bread by thr doctrine of evil spirits, today we seek to encourage him in God. May Jesus be real to him. Amen Again it is raining. It will p...

Love Without Hypocrisy

Blog 9 September 2016 Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 12:9‭-‬10 HCSB Yesterday we caught the bus to Sindhupalchok. I had a nasty headache which was not helped by a bus driver who blew his horn at every and any opportunity. It wa no ordinary horn, it had a tune. I suppose this made it more fun for him to blow. Getting out of Kathmandu was no easy affair. We stopped regularly to collect more hot, steaming bodies. I actually fell asleep at one point and awoke to see huge bags of produce blocking the aisle, atop which sat more people. At every stop little Nepali salesmen clambered aboard to attempt to sell us their bottles of water and various nibbles. They shouted loudly, not helping my head. Finally we stopped for lunch and the toilet at a small village. The look of food was repugnant to me and so i nibbled on a few dried pilchards and dr...

Haye Evil

You who love the Lord , hate evil! He protects the lives of His godly ones; He rescues them from the power of the wicked. Psalms 97:10 HCSB I am in a pool of humanity that worships idols. A place where humans, dogs and cows compete for space on roads filled with holes, covered with rubble and filth. Yesterday we went into the city of Kathmandu to buy clothes for children in the village we travel to today. In parts the nationals withnus would caution us about pick pockets. Whilst evil qas around we were safe. We caught a ride inn a tuck tuck, and several taxis. We were taken places that i had never been and did not know where we were, yet we were safe. Today we go to a village to help children who's fathers drink. How to give to families who may not receive what has been given is a challenge. How do we do good and not be taken advantage of? How do we do good and not take advantage. These are questions that plague us. We will be staying with a local family and want to pay for ...

Rejoicing and Dancing

Then the young woman will rejoice with dancing, while young and old men rejoice together. I will turn their mourning into joy, give them consolation, and bring happiness out of grief. I will refresh the priests with an abundance, and My people will be satisfied with My goodness. This is the Lord ’s declaration . Jeremiah Jeremiah 31:13,14 Today we finalised the preparations for our trip to Sindhupalchok. We bought clothes for the children, socks and undies. Tomorrow we hope to buy shoes. The people we are going to help are very poor and are bereft of ever stepping up out of their grief. As we have already bought them land and plan to by goats and chickens they are beginning to smile. We are taking balls and kiys for the children to play with. We, as the Lord's hands and feet are bringing consolation. I am enjoying the preparation. How much better the actual event. If we enjoy blessing others how much more our God enjoys blessing His children. Amen!

He Loves Me

the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you. Jeremiah 31:3 HCSB Believing that the Lord loves us can at times be challenging, especially when everything else tells us we are worthless. Today i awake after a rough night when the enemy came against me to shame me and accuse me of failure. Now, i wonder why that was? He uses what appears to be natural failures and jumps on the bandwagon. Today we go to see a young man who was injured in a bike accident. He is reading his bible and seeking God. I go to lead him through to a full experience in Christ. Of course the enemy does not want this. Our God loves us more than we can imagine. He wants to reach out to others through us. Dont allow him to hinder your obedience to Christ. Amen!

You are my Portion Lord

Lord , You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Psalms 16:5‭-‬6 HCSB The Lord brings good things to us. He has great plans for us. He is our satisfaction and joy. Nothing that captures our hearts and minds can compare to His goodness. He is our exceeding great reward. Pleasant plaved await us, even in times of challenge and heartache there are good times in God for us. If we can just get out of our own mindset and seek Him, we will find beauty and blessing. Seek Him first! Amen!

Paths of Life

You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures. Psalms 16:11 HCSB Tje Lord' s paths are best. His ways are perfect, and only His ways are perfect. I can trust Him for His ways. When we are in fear we are not in His ways. Yesterday two of the young men working with us in Nepal had a bike accident. They were travelling at speed when anothrr biker in front of them suddenly stopped to turn right. They ran into the back of the second bike resulting in an accident. Another bike in the group watched in horror as the accident unfolded. However, God was there and there were very minor injuries when there should have been serious injuries. The young men injured do not know the Lord and are in fear. We who.know.our God can rest in Him. We rejoice in His hand. There is joy in knowing our God works for us. One of the boys injured had had Christ shared with him and he said he was not ready. Perhaps this event will speak to hi...

What does Holy Look Like?

“Speak to the entire Israelite community and tell them: Be holy because I, Yahweh your God, am holy. Leviticus 19:2 HCSB Being holy is being set apart, not behaving like the world but rather like our heavenly family. This is a challenge as we live in the world but not partakers of the world. In the Old Testament the children of Israel were not allowed to associate with those outside of their faith in personal matters. They were not to marry into the heathen nations, not to go into business with them, not to party with them etc. They were a type of what being set apart meant. As Christians we are foolish if we think we can do the same things and not be tainted. The admonition to be holy remains. We are to be like our Father. He loves all mankind but would not partake in all they do. Jesus was a living testimony of the Father. Jesus was not a.recluse. He ate and drank with His disciples, with sinners and tax collectors but He did not adopt the attitudes and values of those He as...

Loving my Neighbour

Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh. Leviticus 19:18 HCSB Yesterday i gained an understanding of community that is somewhat lost to us in Australia. I visited a humble family home in a part of Kathmandu that many people would shun. It was not pretty. However, as we sat and talked neighbours would come to the window and chat. The people i was with were new to the house they lived in and thus to the street and community but you would not have known this. This small family  were happy and content with a level of living that many Australians could not tolerate. Yet mamy Nepali have not a good word for India because of the fuel blockade that happened last year. The giant earthquake also happened ladt year and of the two events the blockade caused more hardship. Therefore the Nepali do not like Indians yet from what I reaf there could have been problems on both sides. There is still evidence of ...

Let Grace Rule

Therefore, let us no longer criticize one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in your brother’s way. Romans 14:13 HCSB Frustration causes us to criticise. Impatience causes us to be frustrated. Impatience lacks love and is from the flesh, but love covers a multitude of sins. I have been very tired lately. I think it is called jet lag. The locals are constantly pushing to see us and we are having to push back. This is more tiring. However, i enjoyed my day with a treking guide and his wife and two daughters. Although they wanted me to stay the night i knew i must leave and go back to my friend's house. I am the type of creature that needs space to recoup energy. When i arrived back at my digs there were around 10 youth having a meeting. Then i had a Nepali pressing me for information i didnt have, via messenger. I took a breath and calmly weathered the time and when it was over took my hosts for coffee and dessert. We create stumbling blocks out...

Every Knee Shall Bow

For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will give praise to God. Romans 14:11 HCSB All must bow! Every demon, ever lying spirit, every disease, every enemy that come against me, every wicked person who rises up against me, every unbelieving spirit, every anti-Christ must bow to the name that is higher than every other name. There is no name higher than His. He is the great I Am. He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, mighty God! He is enough, more than enough, more.than I can ask or think! I exalt Him above all; as i walk, as I speak, as I live. I exalt You Lord. Amen! Forgive me for wrong confession, for giving power to my enemy. I repent of wrong confession. I will lift you up. Amen! Today as I go, may I lift up Your Name! Amen! As i lift up Your name may You be glorified.

Known by the Father

Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.   All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal Him. Matthew 11:26‭-‬27 HCSB There are times when we will be challenged to give a good report. Jesus knew why He had come and who it was who sent Him. In humiluty He accepted His mission and completed it. We have a mission. We are known by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All of heaven is at our disposal as we choose to complete our mission. We do not need to wonder about our mission. We have been told what it is: ' Go into all the world amd make disciples of all nations. I have good news for a lost and perishing world. Today i had a non-christian friend make a post on Facebook of an athiest denying God because in his opinion God was not good for allowing evil. I rose to the challenge and wrote that an atheist has not met the love of ...

Rest

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 HCSB Today i need rest, i think. Yestetday i planned rest but went out until 9pm meeting part of the team we travel into Nepali countryside to conduct the project of buildng a house and restoring a town's water supply. I had two exciting motorbike rides around the crumbling city of Kathmandu. The people are very friendly. The sights and sounds loud and bright. I had a cripple come to me begging and i gave him my treasure  I laid hands on him and prayed for him. I ask Lord for this man's future, his healing and eternal salvation. Amen The Lord's rest is what i seek. His ways are what i want. Amen

Grace not Fighting

“Stop your fighting — and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.” Psalms 46:10 HCSB Why do we fight? James tells us it has to do with our greedy ambition. When i become cross with you, it is because you are making a demand on the selfish me i am unwilling to give. However, as i walk in Christ, i am able. Today i am awake, just, with a sandy feeling in my eyes. All travellers know this feeling and my is not unusual. I am bathing in the Spirit as sell as the natural, so good to have a shower. It is nearly 10am Nepali time and we are needing to eat. This trip will ne good for my flesh. Learning to wait is a good discipline. Peace- With Everyone

Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness — without it no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 HCSB Peace is so important, even when someone is annoying, irritating and even offensive. Ask why are they behaving like thus? Holy Spirit what do I need to see here? In peace understsnding lies, in peace love and acceptance grow. In peace blessings flow. Pursue peace in thr face of misunderstsnding. Peace is the only place to work things out. Offense does not.live in peace, it skirts the edges looking for someone to devour. Dont become its meal for the day. As a child of God we can live in the power and grace of God. There is the victory. Amen! Off i go! I arrive in Kathmandu at around 11pm tonight, including time zones. Ample opportunity to be tired and cross. Lord I ask fir a double portion of grace and mercy. Amen!
