Want to be Happy?

Happy are those who keep His decrees and seek Him with all their heart.
Psalms 119:2 HCSB

This Psalm was written under law, in the Old Testament. Genuine God seekers kept the law and were frequenters of the temple. They constantly made offerings for sin. As to the amount of genuine 'God Seekers', we would have to hazard a guess. Yet, even the prophets estimated wrongly. Elisha complained to God that he alone served Him but God said He still had 700 who had not bowed the knee to Baal. Mind you, out of the millions on earth at that time, that was not good numbers.

Recently in our country there was a census. Across the country church decline was marked. However, in our city of Tamworth this was not so marked. If we believe all social media put out godlessness is rampant, yet Isaiah said: When the enemy comes in, like a flood God will raise up a standard against him. Is 59:19

If you read the full chapter we see that God Himself was offended when He saw no justice:

Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil is plundered. The Lord saw that there was no justice, and He was offended. He saw that there was no man — He was amazed that there was no one interceding; so His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness supported Him.
Isaiah 59:15‭-‬16 HCSB

What did God do? He sent His Son and changed things, He gave us His Spirit within and a new heart. We are on God's team and need to be the intercessors for our cities. When the latest blatant evil arises we need to be in prayer. Prayer changes things. Amen!

I have been praying for my neighbours and they are coming alive to relationship. God is preparing them for Himself. Prayer works! Go for it! Be consistent in prayer. Be faithful! Amen! Pick up the sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith and go for it. Be the warrior God intended you to be.
