A Better Way

For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.
Philippians 2:13 HCSB

We are not alone, been given a task to fulfill and left. The Holy Spirit works in us to conform us to the image of Christ. Conversely, outside of us, we have an enemy who is using crushing force to conform us to the image of the world. The world is trained to live for lust and self-gratification. This is in opposition to Christ who, Paul tells us, earlier in this chapter:

Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death — even to death on a cross.

With such an example, who would be selfish? Well.....mmm... We would, as this is our natural bent, but Christ compels us
To seek a better way, His way. Amen!
