Good Account of Ourselves

Look at what is obvious. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself of this: Just as he belongs to Christ, so do we.
2 Corinthians 10:7 HCSB

At times we can become arrogant in our righteousness. We then need to take a hard look at ourselves and examine on what righteousness do we stand: ours or Gods? He is our righteousness. If we become arrogant then we have subtly deceived ourselves that we did it all, after all 'we are soooo good!' Ha! Sorry! Wrong! Sound the gong!

Recently I saw this is someone else but I know I am just as capable. We can become elated after a breakthrough or a win and bam! Off we go like a rooster in a hen house, crowing about the fact that there are eggs, no, the rooster does not lay them!

It looks ugly in others, it looks ugly in us.

It is important for us to keep a humble assessment of ourselves, if not we are heading for a crash and burn experience. They hurt! So, the morale of the tale is: don't become so elated you forget who you are. Be very suspicious of elation, be careful to walk with the leader especially when elated. Amen!
