There is no one holy like the Lord . There is no one besides You! And there is no rock like our God. Do not boast so proudly, or let arrogant words come out of your mouth, for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and actions are weighed by Him.

Hands up anyone who has never boasted! We are inclined to be proud of our achievements and before we know it we boast. Arrogance is when we see our own opinions as more important and ride roughshod over others. Arrogant people are insensitive to how rude and arrogant they really are. They have been deceived into believing their own boast.
Arrogant people are not sensitive to community, they are too busy being themselves, consumed with their own business and agendas.
The Lord does not like arrogance and when it rears it head in His children He fixes things so they fall and have a lesson in humity. The humble are more in tune with His heart for others.
It is always best to humble ourselves or He will do it for us. Ever heard the saying: ' He pulled the rug out from under me.' He does this very well and then waits for us to come to Him for insight and understanding. Only the foolish rant and rave and become angry and offended.
