If We Confess Our Sins

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 HCSB

An awareness of sin is a gift from God. Until I knew my sin I could not come to Him. Without an awareness of sin we are content to stumble along in the dark doing things our own way. Yet when the Spirit of God comes, light and life come, all we have to do then is welcome Him in and forgiveness like a waterfall in flood cleanses our soul. How good it is!

My prayer for out nation is that the gift of repentance is poured out. Amen!

God's love and forgiveness are real. However they are an affront to one who does not recognise their sin. It takes a personal encounter with the redeemer to break a hardened heart.
