Forgiven

How joyful are those whose lawless acts are forgiven and whose sins are covered! How joyful is the man the Lord will never charge with sin!
Romans 4:7‭-‬8 HCSB

The above words were spoken by King David. He was a man who had sinned but found forgiveness. David not only took another man's wife but had her husband killed to cover his sin. God sent Nathaniel the prophet to tell him his wrongdoing and that He would lose the first child born to that woman. David prayed: ' create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit within me.'(Psalm 51:10)

As a man who knew forgiveness he cherished it. I have known forgiveness and constantly cherish my God's grace and mercy. He is ever willing to forgive. Not only that, He is willing to give us His Spirit as a confirmation of that forgiveness and His Spirit empowers us to live. What joy! Amen!
