This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.

Discerning what is God and what is not needs the above criteria applied. Does it confess Jesus Christ as Lord? If no, then it is of the devil. Do we want to be uplifted or brought down? Then apply the filter. Don't accept things that do not pass the filter into your life.
We need to be real about what is God and what is of the devil, and then we meed to choose. Amen
