Salvation is Still Mine
For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do — first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all when He offered Himself.
Hebrews 7:26-27 HCSB
Jesus does not have to repeat His unblemished performance when He died on the cross and rose again, making way for us who come to Him in faith.
I do not need to work for my salvation but accept it in faith. I have it and no-one can take it away. I may fall and live like I had before I accepted Christ but if I see my sin, turn again in repentance forgiveness is mine and I am restored.
Jesus told the parable of the prodigal son for such a reason. He shows the love of the Father and the willingness to forgive and restore. I must accept this and believe. Amen
