Stop Fighting

“Stop your fighting — and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”
Psalms 46:10 HCSB

James tells us why we fight:

What is the source of wars and fights among you? Don’t they come from the cravings that are at war within you? You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your evil desires.
James 4:1‭-‬3 HCSB

However, if we want a solution we need to listen to Jesus:

“You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:43‭-‬45 HCSB

We cannot love unless we abide in Christ. Only in Him is forgiveness, patience, grace and mercy. Outside of Him is selfishness, bitterness and hatred. Be kind!
