Not Perishing

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus, here, was telling Nicodemus that He must die on a cross and why He must die, so that we could have eternal life, that is, live forevermore with Him.

Those who do not have eternal life perish. Where do they perish? In hell. Hell was made for Satan and His demons but he is populating it with humans to torment forever.

Death is not the end of torment. Perhaps it is the real beginning.

I must choose, myself, who I will follow and tell others about Jesus, as He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. There is no other way to eternal life. Jesus is it!
