Stay Alert

Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, and love without stopping.

A soldier in battle knows that to stay alive he has to give all he has, stay alert and committed to the mission. We are soldiers for Christ committed to advancing the kingdom of God.

A driver also knows the importance of staying awake, alert and focused. Distractions, such as mobile phones and TVs can distract the driver and cause a serious accident.

We are on a journey. We are going somewhere and cannot afford short cuts or distractions. We cannot be lulled into a false sense of security and miss the danger.

James tells us we having an enemy who is like a prowling lion, looking for someone to devour. Stay alert! Amen!
