What Do You Want?

“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part. Matthew 6:14‭-‬15 MSG

We may not agree with this principle or in fact believe it to be true. However if we find ourselves struggling perhaps we have removed ourselves from grace.

We do not have authority to call the tune when it comes to forgiveness. This is God's arena. As is the case with many God-designed and God-built principles, He controls them.

It is nothing but supreme arrogance to believe we control that which we did not create. Perhaps this comes from the fact that we constantly challenge existing principles, e.g. gravity. Today I read that gravity in itself is not as strong as a fridge magnet. However, if I jump off a building, I will still hit the ground, unless of course I am superman.

We need to respect that which we need to respect and know the difference, as in fear of the Lord. Amen!
