Jesus Our Pioneer

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne. Hebrews 12:1‭-‬2 HCSB

Jesus shows the way. We all must endure through trial and difficulty. Jesus faced the cross but He despised the shame that came with it and endured, for us. He looked beyond the cross to the prize.

We must look beyond our difficulty to the promised end. The difficulty and shame shout that the promise is false, but God's promises never fail.

Jesus endured what appeared to be the end of Him, but He rose again into new life and was seated at the right hand of God in honour. He made a way for millions to come to the Father. What will our endurance do? What will we change? What victory is ours? What is the prize?
Even if eternal life is the only prize it is enough. For ever and ever I will be with Him and never again suffer. It is worth it! Amen!
