Dont Discard all You Have Learned

But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. 2 Timothy 3:14‭-‬17 MSG

The times when I do not like scripture are the times I need it. I have to be sensitive enough to know the problem is in me and then go to God and ask for His help. Repentance is not easy at times, in fact it is a gift from God.

When I do not want to repent, this is when I need to repent and have to ask God to help we want to repent from deep within. Some sins are deep and we are reluctant to let them go. How do they get so far in? Perhaps the soil of unforgiveness was hanging around. Perhaps we bought it in the book we are reading, the movie we are watching, just as if we have been to the nursery to buy plants.

When I sense bad dirt I go to the master gardener and ask His advice.
