Fixing our thoughts

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are days when we must intentionally fix our thoughts on Jesus, as our minds are under attack with accusations against our friends and family. He brings offence along for the ride and seeks a place in our minds and hearts. Division is his goal and a place for the kingdom of darkness.

Worship music works for me, along with worship from my own heart along with gratitude and prayer for all those the enemy accuses. Offence does not work with gratitude and praise. James tells us:
“Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him. And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”James‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We hear and know ‘resist the devil and he will flee’. It is good to read and know the scripture that supports this command. When we humbly accept the authority of scripture and seek the Lord, resisting the devil, Satan will indeed flee. Amen!

“Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.”Psalms‬ ‭111‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬
